Fetch 11 Humane Society, Inc. is a tiny, privately owned all-volunteer, 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization focused around providing no-kill shelter for dogs less than 40 pounds in weight.  We are located in Northern California in Shasta County. 

• We bring dogs in from in killing shelters, other rescue groups and from private individuals, make the dogs ready for adoption, and then match them with an appropriate permanent adoptive home. 

  • Although we will take in any dog that meets our intake criteria (when we have room), we have come to specialize in pregnant dogs, mamas with litters of pups, orphaned puppies, and fear-aggressive Chihuahuas. 

  • We have also taken in several "special needs" dogs that were crippled, blind, deaf, suffering with mange, and/or traumatized by abuse. 

• We also post dogs for other shelters and private rescuers on national adoption websites to make sure that available dogs are well-publicized.

• When we're unable to take in a dog, because we're full or because the dog doesn't meet our intake criteria, we still try to help find an adoptive placement for the dog by assisting with  postings to adoption websites and by cross-posting the dogs to other rescues and shelters which may have room for the dog.

All placements and adoptions are by appointment only. Our volunteers have other jobs and they aren't always available, so we set up specific appointments for all placements of dogs with us, and all adoptions of dogs through our shelter-house facility. Generally appointments are on the weekends from 10:00 am until 4:00 pm.  We also try to accommodate adopters and transporters by making appointments on holidays.  We do not allow walk-ins or entry onto the shelter-house property without an appointment.
